"Without my DS-1's between my PRS 'Spitz model and my hand built '69 Plexi's soldered by my own lil fingers, I simply don't play anywhere... that simple!" - Dan Spitz

Hi Robert, I feel I've owed you an email for a while now. Wanted to write to tell you just how great the mods are on the BD and the DS... I used both pedals extensively on the Simon and Garfunkel tour (which was a great experience), and, of course, continue to use 'em on the playing I do here in New York. Both pedals sound fantastic. They simply could not sound better, and have become an integral part of my set-up. On any given gig, I can get 3 different overdrive sounds of total integrity. I set each pedal with just a mild amount of distortion (just slightly at, or over the minimum), and with a very slight boost in volume. Each produces its own beautiful sound. Then, when used together, I get 'sound 3,' which I love as well. And they are quiet enough to do this...! Just great results, always. And, perhaps most importantly, my guitar still sounds like my guitar... When I A/B sounds with the pedals 'on' vs. 'off,' all of the tone of my instrument is still present, with very high integrity... Try doing that with a stock pedal!!!..

Next, the other day in the mail, I received a surprise. Package from Keeley. Opened it to find a top of the line Java Boost inside. Can't quite figure this out, because it was addressed to me, but I didn't order it, 'tho I secretly have been 'coveting' this item. I've yet to plug it in, 'cause I don't know if it is really 'mine'.!....Was this a mistake, or a gift from a friend? ( I generally try to help out, and do favors for, my friends....and some of them will go out of their was to say 'thanks'....). So, what gives???...it is serial # JB483.....CV7003 OC44. Pls let me know.

At any rate, getting ready for the next leg of the S&G tour. We start rehearsing in a month, and then play concerts throughout June and July. Hope you've been getting some clients from me. People are impressed with the mods, and I'm not shy about telling them all about Keeley, and pointing them in your direction.....gonna check through my stuff and see if there's anything I'd like you to work on for me before the start of the tour.....in the meantime, the Java Boost?!?!??! (I did call your place about this the other day.) Hope all is well there. Your friend, Larry Saltzman
