Here is a review on Harmony Central from a French friend of ours. This guy has been Keeley customer for years. His words mean a lot to me!

Price Paid: US $179 (intro price)
*Ease of Use: 10
There is only one knob on this unit. And you know what? It's enough! A boost doesn't need anything else. If you want some more gain, you can pull the knob. It's easy, but what a pleasure!!! But no manual was given in the box...
*Sound Quality: 10
The unit sounds great. I'm a pedal collector, so i can compare it with a lot of other boosts. This one doesn't sound like the others, and especially the time machine boost, that Robert Keeley has designed for Legendary Tones. The TMB is Clean, really clean. Katana is a little more. For me the sound is more aggressive, even in real clean sound (pushed position) I love it. But the best is when you pull the knob : This unit drives your amp or your favorite pedal like nothing else! I love the Keeley boss MT2 mod. I also love to drive this pedal with OD1, or TS9... And i have to admit, the Katana has something that makes the MT2 SCREAM! Incredible! In my opinion, the TMB is great, especially because it has in one box a clean boost and a treble/middle boost, but the frequency response of the Katana is better.
*Reliability: 10
The box is a MXR type, very robust. They are built with caution and love. Just open it, and you will see.
*Customer Support: 10
You have a problem? Robert will answer soon. This guy is really kind and friendly. Keep on the good work, Rob.
*Overall Rating: 10
I have more than 100 guitar pedals. I love boutique pedals. They are more expensive than boss or Ibanez, maybe twice the price, but the quality is ten times better. BUY BOUTIQUE PEDALS. Your sound will be better. The only pedal that's worth the comparison is the TS9 or 808, but the Keeley mod is highly recommended. And the Katana is great before this pedal...
You said you want some mora, right here on the floora?!?!
Hey Robert,
I apologize..this is a little long and I know you're a
busy man! We've had quite a few emails and exchanges
before (emails and on the HC boards..im Stoney
Stomp)..
I've owned quite a few of your products but a few
months ago in one of your auctions..I won a Keeley
Katana pedal. This was before they were released and
in fact, mine has no graphics on it at all.
I have to tell you that after months of using it..it
has become my absolute CANNOT live without pedal. I
used to search and search for THE Overdrive pedal. I
was never really satisified with any of them. Most
sounded boxy and unnatural to me. Then, I got my new
amplifier. My Dr.Z Maz 38 SR..and it's natural OD is
just amazing. Beautiful harmonic crunch..great
overtones, you name it. But for heavier parts i needed
something more. So one day I sit with my amp and all
the OD's and distortions that I owned. After an hour I
abandoned ALL of them except for my Katana.
The Katana into my Dr. Z is the most amazing tone I've
EVER had. Period. It's not even CLOSE. My board now
consists of no overdrives. I have my Katana and a Big
Muff clone (one day to be replaced by a Fuzz Head, i
hope). I've never been so happy with my sound and I
really owe it all to Mike Zaite and you and the
Katana. I know this sounds like me gushing but every
other clean boost ive tried made my low end flabby
and my top end too brittle. The Katan keeps everything
incredibly tight and punchy and focused. It's my
amp..PLUS more of my amp.
My band, Still Division just recorded our new demo
cd..and already people are interested. One of the main
comments was.."the guitar tones are amazing".
Please, if you have a moment, check out this link to
our song "Theory of Everything. Going from the
verse..into the pre-chorus is this big chunky "E"..
thats all Les Paul into Katana into the Z and its my
favorite part of the whole CD. The tone is amazing.

The Katana was free..the best pedal I own was free.
And for that, I thank you 100 times over. I wish you
nothing but MORE success (the workstation looks
absurd!) and health and happiness. It's VERY difficult
to play music and live in Manhattan..everything is
beyond expensive and I scrape by with the hopes that
we "make it" soon..and things look good. But you gave
me a $200 pedal for free and I know that's not a big
deal to some but to me, it means everything.
So thank you again!
